Welcome to the new Boxborough Local web site. We're in the midst of transitioning to a new web server technology that supports forums, blogs, and stories, with the ability for users to add comments. Some items of public interest will be cross-posted here from the original Boxborough Local Google group so they can be enjoyed by a wider audience. Those items will be marked with the date they were sent to the original mailing list. Incidentally, the Google Group remains an active private forum, and you're welcome to join. The forums are new, and we've created a few starting points. Anybody can create a forum topic, but if you'd like a new forum, please post a comment to that effect, or send mail to admin@boxboroughlocal.org.

It isn't necessary to "log in" to view any of the content on the new site, but a user identity is required if you want to post new entries to the forums or comment on stories. However, you can choose to remain anonymous by creating a username that isn't your real name. You will need to enter a real email address in order to enable the username; however, that information remains private. Only the moderators of the site will know the username and email address association, unless you choose to share it. There is a place in the user profile where you can list an optional email address and a bio. Please enter your email address in a "spam protected" fashion by replacing the at-sign with "at" and any periods with "dot" as in the example

myemail at foo dot com

This will make it harder for spam agents to harvest email addresses from any of this website's content.
