Regional Groups

Here are some links to other regional groups.

Harvard Local The genesis of Boxborough Local is the founding group in Harvard. Founded in 2006, Harvard Local offers a film series, regular meetings, and a variety of ongoing programs.

Groton Local Groton's Local began as a book group, and blossomed into a 200+ person organization during 2007. It offers regular meetings and subgroups on local foods, energy, and community gardening.

Ayer Local Ayer Local is a new group and is starting with a film series in downtown Ayer.

Bolton Energy Committee Bolton has an official town energy committee that hosted presenters from up and down the Rt 495 area in a group meeting last year. Minutes and slides are available.

Energy Network A common site for energy-related local groups along the Rt. 495 belt and the Nashoba Valley. A number of participants organized an energy network booth at last year's Bolton Fair. See photos here. Some presentations are available on the site.

Green Acton is a new sustainability group in neighboring Acton. They are working to create a new energy committee in concert with the Acton Board of Selectmen.

Concord Conserves is a highly informational site maintained by the Concord Climate Action Network (CCAN).

Hudson Area Climate Action Network Hudson's group is offering a fall seminar series.

Green Marlborough Marlborough's group was started by the summer of 2007. The group organized a successful Earth Day fair in spring 2008 and has a variety of ongoing programs.
