Acton-Boxborough Farmer's Market
Submitted by admin on Tue, 09/16/2008 - 00:09
At Saturday's Boxborough Ag Fair I met Jennifer Taylor in the new Ag Commission's booth. Jennifer is trying to establish a farmer's market for Acton and Boxborough. Anyone who is interested might want to attend their upcoming meeting to be held on Tuesday, October 7, at 7:00 pm at the Citizens Library in West Acton. This is the same group mentioned in a brief note in last week's Beacon.
For more information, contact Jennifer Taylor at 978-877-1657 or actonfarmersmarket@hotmail.com.
ABFM hoping to open July 2009
The AB Farmer's Market people have continued to meet, and as a side project, Jennifer Taylor held a meeting to discuss creation of an Agricultural Commission for Acton. The meeting was well attended, including a couple of folks from the Boxborough Ag Commission. Kudos to Jennifer for pulling this together.
The Farmer's Market is looking into farmers, locations, and all of the other arrangements that need to be made. They hope to open during the coming summer.
Christian Schiavone of the Beacon attended the meeting to talk about the Ag Commission. See here for his article...
